Education

We support two schools in Berega as part of our sustainability program.

Bishop Chitemo Anglican School started as a kindergarten and has expanded to included pre-K and Standard 1 (Grade 1), Standard 2 (Grade 2), Standard 3 (Grade 3) and Standard 4 (Grade 4). Our plan is to add a grade every year as our first class continues to progress, until we offer all grades of school. We started with 6 students now we have 136.

We also support SONAB (School of Nursing at Berega) with a perpetual education fund. Using contributions that are loaned to students and repaid by students when they graduate and take jobs at the hospital, monies are perpetually available to students in the future.

Hands4Africa also supports local government schools by providing 'Books on Walls' our innovative wall painting program that puts the kindergarten and Grade 1 curriculum on school walls. You can lose a book, but you can't lose a wall.

Please contribute to Books on Walls, our English school or to the Nurse Perpetual Education Fund to help Tanzanians grow into self-sufficient individuals.
