Solar Cooking

We initially looked at solar cookers as a possible help with cooking, but they are somewhat cumbersome and not good on cloudy days. We believe that solar panels to provide light for the home, a charge for a cellphone and cooking with electricty is a better solution. We are starting a pilot project with a solar panel, a battery and LED lights and a burner and slow cooker. We will supply these to the workers in our Jatropha plantations. They have the financial resources to pay a small monthly fee for them.
