Items to bring

Medications in hand luggage with duplicates in packed luggage:

Cipro, Doxycycline (or Malarone)

Tylenol, Ibuprofen

Benadryl

Diflucan if you are a woman

Dramamine

A few packs of oral rehydrations salts

Medication for any personal conditions

Syringes and needles for personal injectable medication with a physician letter documenting necessity

A list of all your medications with trade and generic names with dosage and frequency of dosage

Other items:

Glasses (and an extra pair) and the prescription for them

Contact lenses (and and extra pair) and the prescription for them

A medic alert bracelet or wallet card for conditions and allergies

Copy of travel health insurance policy and home country health insurance policy

Copy of your medevac policy

Passport (and a photocopy of it kept separately)

Travel visa for the country you are visiting

Vaccination Certificates

Electrical power converter. Electricity in Tanzania is 230 volts AC, 50hz: round or square 3-pin plugs, fused or unfused. The 230 volt plugs in Tanzania are generally English style

A flashlight (torch)

An international driver licence. While not necessary it is good to have if you will drive. It makes the police much happier.
